The 13th edition of the International Summer Jewellery and Watches Trade Fair JUBINALE which was held on 25-27 June 2020 was unique in every respect.

A month before the fair it was still not known at all whether the event could be organized. The lack of precise guidelines of the Polish Government in connection with the COVID-19 epidemic introduced many question marks and caused uncertainty among potential participants of the fair. As a result, after removing some of the restrictions, the number of exhibitors despite previous optimism in the industry was significantly desreased and many sanitary restrictions were imposed on the fair. Nevertheless, we showed how strong the desire to act is and together we made it! And those of you who had the courage to take business risk deserve special recognition – both Polish participants and numerous guests from abroad!

During this year’s JUBINALE an extensive offer of both amber and raw material jewelry was presented, as well as silver and gold jewellery, stones, pearls, watches, technical offer and other services and products related to the jewelry industry. The exhibitors came to Krakow not only from Poland – despite numerous restrictions, we hosted companies from Lithuania, Italy, England and Austria. However, while buyers came from Slovakia, Lithuania, Italy, Czech Republic, China, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland and Turkey, which we consider a great success!

This year, the number of exhibitors was at 35% of the usual number, while the number of buyers in proportion to the number of exhibitors was satisfactory and exceeded the expectations of a large number of exhibitors – the offer of gold and silver jewelry enjoyed particular interest.

The arrival of one person from the company turned out to be a strong trend among visitors, which in turn translated into the fact that the majority of visitors were decision-makers. Taking care of the safety of JUBINALE guests this year all days were intended only for the jewelry industry, in order to limit the number of visitors to those most favorable for the industry. As every year, fair participants could also take advantage of free expert advice in the field of repair, care and valuation of jewelry products and stones as well as advice from representatives of the most important Polish industry associations and organizations, i.e. the International Amber Association and the Association of Jewelery Valuers.

JUBINALE was accompanied by the Designer Trends zone. And although in a very limited form it was visited by large number of guest, proving that it is worth taking the risk and presenting their latest collections in Krakow. Once again, JUBINALE was supported by industry associations and organizations, and received media patronage from major Polish publishing houses in the jewelry industry. In addition, since this year they have again been under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Krakow Jacek Majchrowski.

We are very pleased that the participants of the fair were so disciplined and cooperated with the organizer and Exhibitors to ensure safety at the fair for themselves and other participants, adapting to the recommendations of the ministry. Masks, regular hand disinfection, measuring the temperature every time you enter the hall – these are just some of the procedures followed during JUBINALE 2020.

Thank you for your presence, every good word and support. You have shown how important it is to be willing to act and to return to normal operation. We have done our best to ensure that the trade fair was held in the best atmosphere and that the industry could meet safely after a long break. Our team, despite the limited time, gave 200% that everything was done to the last button. We hope that it was a good time for you, which will also bring business benefits in the coming months.
This year’s fair has shown that, despite various difficulties, fears and uncertainties, but with joint commitment, you can do something good for yourself and the industry.

Hoping to cooperate wit you on next projects, we wish you all the best.
